The dental field is one where Positive Communications excels and has extensive experience and connections. We work very closely with the British Dental Health Foundation, the British Dental Association and the British Orthodontic Society and have personal links with the many of the other representative bodies of the profession. Positive Communications has fostered meaningful relationships with many key opinion leaders, attended a large number of symposia, exhibitions and conferences in the UK and Europe and learned at first hand the latest developments in oral health research, sometimes many years before they come to commercial fruition.

Positive Communications has been responsible for the professional PR for Philips Oral Healthcare both in the UK and Europe since the UK launch of Sonicare in 1995 when it was still owned by the Optiva Corporation. Tracy Posner has remained on board through the transition to Philips and has been responsible for the launch of every one of its new products, helping the brand achieve and maintain its status as the number one professionally recommended power toothbrush. More recently since Philips’ acquisition of Discus Dental we have undertaken the professional PR for Zoom the tooth whitening market leader.

We have handled the communications for a number of dental organisations including The British Orthodontic Society from 2007, for which we also developed National Orthodontic Week. We have also worked with other dental organisations including BUPA Dental Services and ran a fund raising auction for the British Dental Association.

More recently have been appointed as a consultant to the Leicester Dental Academy. We have also taken up the charitable mantle for The Dental Wellness Trust and helped it launch a Good:Deed toothbrush which aims to raise funds to donate 3 million toothbrushes to deprived children and elderly people.

Positive Communications also promotes Invisalign – which offers a clear alternative to fixed braces for whom we are communicating with both the dental profession in the UK and Europe, as well as to consumers. We are excited to have recently been appointed to help Unilever launch a new dental product called Regenerate.

We initiated the roll out of Smilepod – the first UK dental hygiene centres and have worked on campaigns for a number of leading dental practices. We also masterminded the UK launch of Sunstar GUM – the 7th largest dental company in the world – for whom we launched PerioBalance the world’s first oral probiotic and launched the UK’s first mobile dental service for DentalXpress and are about to launch Onsite Health in Ireland. We also launched new brands for Dentyl pH which subsequently shook up the mouthwash market in the UK. A more recent client Hague Dental has appointed us to help bring it to the attention of the dental sector.

We work closely with the dental press – in fact communicate with them on a daily basis on behalf of a number of high profile and influential dental clients which we represent. Tracy Posner has a long standing and very close working relationship with everyone at FMC publications working with publisher Ken Finlayson on an exciting new magazine and exhibition called Orthodontic Practice.

Tracy Posner has also been appointed as a member of the advisory board for Dentistry Magazine.

We also have daily liaison with the publication editors at all the publishing houses for which we write articles, submit press releases and brainstorm feature ideas and promotions. Another publishing company Smiles and Faces has also recently called on our services and most recently we have been appointed to launch a new website to help people find information about dental aesthetic treatments called
